# Settings and notifications

> Manage your profile display, theme, telemetry preference, settings sections, and workspace notifications.

Settings opens as a dialog over the current Company workspace. It contains **General**, **Team**, **Billing**, and **Integrations**.

## Open Settings

Select your avatar at the bottom of the Company panel, then choose **Settings**. Direct workspace settings routes open the same dialog and section.

If you try to switch workspaces while a Settings form has unsaved changes, Alesta can ask you to resolve the current edit first.

## General

General contains:

### Profile

Your signed-in name, primary email, and avatar come from the authentication account. This card is for identity display; company profile edits belong in the Company panel.

### Theme

Choose one of:

* **System:** follow the operating-system preference;
* **Light**;
* **Dark**;
* **Midnight**.

The choice applies to the application interface. It does not change generated document content.

### Privacy

Use **Help improve Alesta** to control anonymous product-usage telemetry for the workspace. The setting describes OpenTelemetry-based usage sharing and can be changed later.

## Team, Billing, and Integrations

* **Team** manages members and invitations. Member-management controls are Owner-only.
* **Billing** shows the current plan, credit use, subscription status, plan options, and owner actions.
* **Integrations** shows every connection offered to the workspace, including tools that do not belong to an Analytics tab.

## Notifications

Select the bell at the bottom of the Company panel to open Notifications. The dialog shows the unread count and groups items into:

* invitations;
* workspace notifications;
* system notifications.

Select an unread invitation to review its invitation flow. Select other unread items to mark them read. Read rows remain visible as history but do not repeat their original action.

If the list is empty, Alesta shows **No notifications**. If loading fails, use the retry control before assuming there are no updates.

## Help and support

The avatar menu includes **Help & support**. When reporting a problem, include the workspace, surface, approximate time, steps, and visible message. Remove sensitive information from screenshots.

Never send passwords, access tokens, private keys, recovery codes, session cookies, or payment-card numbers.
