# Understand your first analysis

> Follow Alesta's progressive baseline and review each result with the correct evidence and availability state.

Alesta publishes the first analysis progressively. You do not need to wait for one all-or-nothing completion screen. Each panel, competitor, and document can move to a readable state when its own work is ready.

## Follow the run

During the run, you may see:

* a global progress indicator with the current phase and percentage;
* **Baseline analysis running** above the Web analytics area;
* loading, preparing, or writing states on individual panels and documents;
* new entries in **Logs > Activity**;
* profile details, competitors, and documents appearing at different times.

The free profiling flow can move through these user-facing stages:

1. Reach the site
2. Measure performance
3. Read the pages
4. Build the profile
5. Find competitors
6. Write documents
7. Publish results

<Note>
  A progress percentage describes the run, not the completeness of every
  possible Alesta capability. Some surfaces can remain unavailable, locked, or
  not measured after the run finishes.
</Note>

## Review in a dependable order

<Steps>
  <Step title="Confirm the company identity">
    Check the company name, domain, category, description, and detected social
    accounts in the left panel. The rest of the workspace depends on this
    context.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the Web baseline">
    Start with PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, SEO health, the crawl summary,
    Programmatic observations, and open issues. Keep lab data separate from
    real-visitor field data.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review competitor candidates">
    Open each competitor, inspect the discovery basis and differences, and
    correct the set before relying on comparative recommendations.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the generated documents">
    Read Product information, Marketing strategy, and `llms.txt` when they
    become available. Treat each as a working draft.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Inspect limitations">
    Read every partial, unavailable, not measured, and locked state. These
    labels tell you what the result can support.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Read state before value

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Ready">
    The panel has a result for the stated source and scope. It can still contain
    caveats or partial coverage.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Partial">
    Some useful data is present, but one or more requested parts were not
    available. Use the readable portion and retain the caveat.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Unavailable">
    Alesta or its provider could not produce a usable result. This is not a
    measured zero.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Not measured">
    The question was outside the current run or required a source that was not
    used.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Locked">
    The workspace plan does not include that reading or action. Upgrading
    affects access, but it cannot guarantee provider coverage.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Know when the first review is complete

Your first review is complete when you can answer these questions:

* Is this the correct company and domain?
* Which facts were directly observed, and which were inferred?
* Which panels used public evidence, and which need a connection?
* Are the competitor candidates relevant?
* Do the generated documents match the business?
* Which gaps are true findings, and which are unavailable or not measured?

You do not need every panel to contain a number. Honest absence is part of the result.
