# Company profile

> Review and maintain the company context shown in the left side of the Alesta workspace.

The Company panel is the workspace's identity and context surface. It stays visible beside the main content so you can review the profile, documents, and competitors while reading Analytics or Signals.

## Workspace identity

The top block shows:

* the company's favicon or a fallback monogram;
* the current display name;
* the domain in monospace;
* a workspace-switcher control.

Select the block to change workspaces or create a new one. The domain is the anchor for the current profile and baseline.

## Categories and description

Alesta can show a primary category and secondary categories inferred from the site. These labels help frame later analysis, but they remain interpretations of public evidence.

The description can be:

* prepared during the baseline;
* added when no description was found;
* corrected with a written brief;
* shown as **Updating...** while a correction runs.

<Note>
  Description corrections are model-backed workspace actions. They can require
  an eligible plan and credits. The control shows a lock when the current
  workspace cannot run the action.
</Note>

Alesta may also show suggestion chips for missing profile context. Selecting a suggestion opens the same reviewable edit flow; it does not silently invent or save a value.

## Social profiles

Detected social accounts appear as compact links. When Alesta has a valid URL, selecting the account opens the external profile in a new tab.

You can add or update supported profile URLs from the Company panel. The currently offered add controls are:

* LinkedIn
* X
* Instagram
* YouTube

These profile links are company context. They are separate from the connected-provider accounts used by Social analytics.

## Documents

The Documents list always preserves the server's order. Each row explains whether the artifact is preparing, being written, ready, being rewritten, updating, locked, unavailable, or coming soon.

Select a ready document to open it in the main content area. A locked document opens the relevant plan explanation instead of exposing an empty body.

The **Articles** folder is currently marked **Coming soon**. It is not a writable article library in this build.

## Competitors

The bottom of the Company panel shows the current competitor set. Select a competitor to open its detail view. Eligible workspaces can enter edit mode, stage additions and removals, then apply the set with **Save**.

Competitor changes can trigger research and downstream document updates. While that work is active, the panel shows statuses such as **Researching...** or **Rewriting analysis...**.

## Best review order

  <Step title="Check category and description">
    Correct material misunderstandings before editing downstream documents.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Validate social-profile links">
    Add only the company's real public profiles. Do not use these controls for
    analytics authorization.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review competitors">
    Keep the accepted set relevant so comparative analysis and strategy use the
    right market context.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read generated documents">
    Inspect the working drafts after the upstream context is accurate.
