Review the first baseline from upstream context to downstream interpretation. This order reduces duplicate edits and makes source limitations easier to spot.

1. Confirm the workspace

Check the company name and domain at the top of the Company panel. If the wrong workspace is selected, use the same block to switch before continuing. Make sure the domain is the intended canonical company site, not a campaign landing page, documentation subdomain, or unrelated regional host.

2. Wait for the relevant stages

You can review early results while the run continues, but do not treat queued surfaces as missing results. Look for:
  • the global progress indicator;
  • Baseline analysis running above Web;
  • Preparing… or Writing… on documents;
  • Researching… on competitors;
  • live entries under Logs > Activity.

3. Validate the company profile

Review:
  • display name;
  • primary and secondary categories;
  • description;
  • public social links;
  • any suggestion chips for missing context.
Correct a material profile error before revising the strategy. The profile is shared context for downstream work.

4. Read Web evidence by source

In Analytics > Web:
  1. Compare mobile and desktop PageSpeed as lab measurements.
  2. Read Core Web Vitals only when eligible field data exists.
  3. Inspect SEO health and crawl summary.
  4. Open Programmatic for technical, heading, relevance, and social-tag details.
  5. Treat locked GEO, Backlinks, keyword, or gap panels as access boundaries, not negative results.
  6. Read the Issues list and retain each caveat.

5. Validate competitors

Open each proposed competitor and ask:
  • Does it target a similar audience?
  • Does it offer a substitutable product or service?
  • Is the overlap direct, adjacent, or only keyword-level?
  • Does the detail view explain why it was proposed?
  • Would keeping it improve or distort strategy?
Stage additions and removals, then save the set once. Wait for research and document reconciliation to finish.

6. Review documents

Read Product information before Marketing strategy. If the product picture is wrong, correct the upstream profile or Product information first. For each document:
  • distinguish observed facts from interpretation;
  • check names, audience, offer, positioning, and competitor claims;
  • follow external links to their source when needed;
  • request a bounded correction rather than rewriting unrelated sections;
  • review the new version after the action completes.

7. Add connected evidence only when needed

Use Traffic when you need private Search Console or Google Analytics readings. Confirm the selected property and displayed attribution before using the values. Use Social only for providers and measurement services the current workspace says are available. Ignore values in surfaces labeled mock data.

8. Review Signals

Open a signal only after you understand the related Analytics finding. Review the exact prompt or instruction before copying, downloading, dismissing, or confirming an external action.

  • Profile reviewed
  • Lab and field measurements kept separate
  • Partial and unavailable states preserved
