Alesta glossary: product, data, and access terms

Use these definitions when reading Alesta panels, documents, logs, and actions. A state such as unavailable or locked is part of the result and should stay attached when evidence is reported elsewhere.

Product and workspace terms

​

AI CMO

Alesta’s AI-assisted workspace for organizing company context, marketing evidence, analysis, documents, and decisions. The term does not imply autonomous external execution.

​

Workspace

The isolated Alesta context anchored to one company domain, including its profile, evidence, competitors, documents, connections, members, plan, and credits.

​

Domain-first baseline

The initial bounded company and marketing picture built from the submitted domain and available public sources. The free baseline is a one-time run, not continuous monitoring. See how Alesta builds the baseline.

Company profile

The working identity, categories, description, social links, documents, and competitor context shown in the Company panel.

​

Company panel

The left side of the Company screen containing workspace identity, profile context, documents, competitors, and footer controls.

​

Panel

A structured reading with a title, scope, evidence state, and source boundary.

​

Document

A generated working artifact based on current workspace context. A document is not automatically approved or published.

​

Signal

A remediation feed that turns verified findings into reviewable prompts, instructions, files, or a confirmed next step. Signals do not automatically execute external changes.

Evidence terms

​

Observed

Evidence returned from an available public page, provider response, connected source, or direct measurement.

​

Calculated

A value derived from observed inputs through a defined transformation.

​

Inferred

An interpretation produced from observed evidence that remains subject to human correction.

​

Proposed

A suggested item awaiting review, such as a competitor candidate.

​

Confirmed

Context accepted or supplied by a workspace member.

​

Lab data

A diagnostic result produced under controlled conditions, such as a Lighthouse PageSpeed run.

​

Field data

Eligible aggregated real-user experience evidence for a published scope and period, such as Chrome UX Report Core Web Vitals.

​

Evidence state

The label that explains whether a result is observed, calculated, inferred, proposed, partial, unavailable, or not measured. See the full evidence-state guide.

Availability terms

​

Preparing or queued

The relevant stage has not started yet.

​

Generating or running

Work is active for the surface.

​

Ready

A usable result exists for the stated source and scope. Ready does not mean complete coverage or no caveats.

​

Partial

Some requested evidence is usable and some is missing.

​

Unavailable

The source or operation did not produce a usable result. Unavailable is not zero.

​

Not measured

The current run did not ask or could not ask the question.

​

Disconnected

A required provider is not authorized for the workspace.

​

Needs selection or Action needed

Authorization exists, but a property, account, organization, or resource still must be selected.

​

Locked

The current plan, role, or credit state does not permit the reading or action. A lock describes access, not the quality of the company or site.

​

Coming soon

The product surface is visible, but its workflow is not runnable in the current build.

​

Mock data

An explicitly labeled example of panel structure. It is not a measurement for the selected workspace.

Web analysis terms

​

SEO analysis

The Alesta Web view for PageSpeed lab diagnostics, eligible field experience, SEO health, a bounded crawl, issues, and conditional organic-search evidence. See how to read SEO results.

PageSpeed

Google Lighthouse lab diagnostics shown separately for mobile and desktop across Performance, Accessibility, Best practices, and SEO.

​

Core Web Vitals

Eligible aggregated field-experience measurements for the displayed page or origin and device scope. They are not backfilled from PageSpeed when field evidence is missing.

​

GEO analysis

Alesta’s analysis of available site-readiness signals for AI answers. Readiness is separate from observed AI visibility and does not guarantee citation. See GEO and AI visibility analysis.

​

Observed AI visibility

Provider evidence that an eligible measured AI answer mentioned the site within the stated platform, language, location, prompt, and time scope.

​

AI answer mention

An available answer-level record behind an observed visibility aggregate. It is dated evidence, not a permanent state.

​

Programmatic analysis

The Alesta tab that exposes supported sections from a measured on-page payload, such as timing, resources, headings, metadata relevance, and social tags. It does not generate programmatic pages. See the Programmatic analysis guide.

​

Backlink profile

A provider-backed summary that can include backlink totals, referring domains, anchors, dates, and risk-watch information for the stated scope.

​

Backlink inventory

The individual link rows and monthly series returned for an eligible run. The inventory can be sampled or partial and is not a complete map of the web.

​

Referring domain

The host of a page that links to the analyzed domain.

​

Canonical URL

The URL a page declares as its preferred version for indexing and consolidation. A canonical is a signal, not a guarantee that a search engine will select it.

​

Connected analytics and outputs

​

Web

The Analytics area containing SEO, GEO, Programmatic, and Backlinks tabs.

​

Traffic

The connected Analytics area for independent Google Analytics and Search Console lanes.

​

Social

The availability-aware monitoring area for the social providers currently offered to the workspace.

​

Activity log

A human-readable history of what a baseline searched, decided, skipped, and completed.

​

Operations log

A technical stream of run steps, provider calls, statuses, timings, and lag.

​

Integration

An available connection path to an external provider or account. A listed integration can still be disconnected or unusable by the current capability.

​

Provider

An external service that can supply authorized or public evidence. Provider availability and coverage remain distinct from plan access.

​

Plans, roles, and actions

​

Zero-rated profiling run

The eligible free domain-first run that does not consume user action credits.

​

Credit

The usage unit applied to eligible paid work in a workspace.

​

Workspace action

A protected, user-initiated correction or analysis update submitted through Alesta’s supported action catalog.

​

Target lock

The server rule that prevents overlapping actions on the same protected document, profile field, competitor set, file, or Signal.

​

Owner

The workspace role responsible for member management and billing in addition to available product administration.

​

Admin

The invited workspace role that can use available product surfaces but cannot perform Owner-only member or billing changes.

​

Plan entitlement

Permission for a workspace to access a reading or action. It does not guarantee provider data, required inputs, release availability, or a successful result.

​

llms.txt

A community-proposed orientation-file format. Alesta can create a draft as part of the free baseline. The file is not a Google ranking requirement or a citation guarantee.
