Alesta’s Backlinks tab can present a provider-backed profile and returned link inventory for the selected domain. Treat it as scoped evidence, not a complete census of every link on the web.
Open Analytics > Web > Backlinks to inspect its current state.
Backlink analysis is not part of the live free domain baseline. The area can
be locked or conditional. Access to a deeper capability does not guarantee
that the provider has usable coverage for a particular domain.
Backlink profile
The Backlink profile panel can include summary facts, referring-domain counts, anchor information, a provider date, and a risk-watch count when those fields are returned.
Use the profile to form review questions. A summary count can differ from another platform because providers use different crawlers, indexes, refresh cycles, canonicalization, and filtering rules.
Backlink inventory
When available, the Backlink inventory panel summarizes the links returned for the run. It can include:
- links collected;
- dofollow count and share;
- distinct referring domains found in the returned rows;
- links marked new, lost, or broken;
- the first and last backlink counts across the available monthly series.
“Links collected” describes the served inventory, not every backlink that exists. The trend reports the endpoints and number of months available; it should not be converted into a growth rate without confirming comparable coverage.
Review backlink evidence step by step
- Read the plan, panel, and provider state before any number.
- Confirm the analyzed domain and provider date.
- Keep profile totals separate from the returned inventory size.
- Inspect referring pages and their hosts before classifying a domain.
- Review anchors in context rather than assigning quality from anchor text alone.
- Verify links marked new, lost, broken, or risky on the source and destination when practical.
- Compare provider snapshots only when their methods and scopes are compatible.
- Preserve unavailable or partial coverage in any report.
What the result does not prove
- An unavailable response does not mean zero backlinks or referring domains.
- A sampled inventory is not proof of complete coverage.
- Dofollow status alone does not establish quality or business value.
- A risk-watch label is a review flag, not proof of manipulation or a removal instruction.
- More backlinks do not guarantee rankings, authority, traffic, or revenue.
Do not remove links, contact publishers, or submit a disavow file from an aggregate count alone. Verify the source, target, history, intent, and current Google guidance before taking an external action.
